    Hello Everyone!

Here is one KILLER bass that I've been on the block about selling for a while. It's a great sounding and playing bass. I can play this for hours and not be tired in the least way.

This bass can get everything from Smith tones with a little more warmth to P-bass tones. It is modern sounding. I like it's tone....I just prefer the J-tone for what I'm doing these days. I've got several other Sadowsky's so.....I'm going to sell this one to get another J-model 5 string built. This bass has less than 100 hours of use on it.

Here's some specs about the bass:

Started in Dec. of 1999....completed in Jan. 2000. It's got 99 and 2000 dates on the inside of the control cavity.

-NYC Sadowsky 24 fret 5 string bass.
-Non Chambered Swamp Ash Body with Ultra Quilted top....a HUGE upgrade.
-Maple Neck with slight figuring on fingerboard
    -Sadowsky Preamp
    -Black Hardware
    -Clear finish
    -EMG 40J Pickups
-Nordstrand Big Singles inside EMG shells available for a little extra if interested!
-NO VTC. (this can be installed for an addition $150.00 should you want it. I can have it done here in Austin at the Bass Emporium)
-WEIGHT IS 7 lbs 9 oz!!!!!!!!! SUPER LIGHT!!

Excellent Condition....never gigged. This bass has 1 iddy biddy indention by the pick-up cover (which is so small it won't photograph. You can only see it when you turn the bass into the light at an angle. You can't feel it with your finger) It also has a small mark on the bottom of the headstock from setting on a stand. Other than that, it's in as new condition. NO buckle rash or wear. Only used for a few recordings. I've got others I play more often.

I'd prefer U.S. Postal Money Orders on this one. Paypal ok.

$3100.00 shipped to your door with full replacement insurance via FedEx.

If you want the Nordy's as well it will be $3200.00 shipped.

    Thanks for the Bump!

Thanks to everyone for all the trade offers! There has been a HUGE amount if interest in trades....at this point though unless someone has an NYC JJ 5 Sadowsky that is in similar condition with a figured top, I am really not looking for a trade. I'd really prefer an outright sale so I can order a new NYC Sadowsky JJ 5!

With all due respect, Sadowsky has both AAA and AAAA quilt top options. The AAAA top is a $500. upgrade. The AAA is a $250 upgrade.

    The description is accurate.

    Ultra Quilt?

I'm not sure if Ultra is the right word.

    Is there anything above Ultra?

Actually, back when this one was built, Roger was using 5A quilt on some of his quilt-top basses. That's no longer available (only 4A and 3A), though occasionally he builds a bass with his "Private Reserve" of 5A quilt.

    I suspect this is a 5A top.
