NYC Sadowsky PJ5 Standard

    special ordered PJ without pickguard and AAAA quilt maple top

    Swamp Ash
    nice Rosewood board
    Sadowsky PJ pickups and preamp
    Vintage tone control
    Gold hardware

    Since the picture was taken, I visted Sadowsky shop to add clear half pickguard. (*pickguad picture added)

    *mint condition*
    If you ordered it from Sadowsky, it would be a special order and will run you around 4100.

    $2700 plus shipping and insurance.

    A lot of times the clear Sadowsky half-pickguards are mounted with a special clear adhesive where there are no screw holes. The pickguard and adhesive can be removed ... as I've been told by a couple of guys and Roger himself. Not sure how it's mounted on this particular bass though.

    Masterfunk,

    I am curious about the clear pickguard for my own Metro. Is that something I can buy from Roger and put on with adhesive as suggested in an earlier post? Beautiful bass though. If I didn't have such a GAS debt I would seriously consider this bass.

    I've been GASsing for a Sadowsky for a while now, but unfortunately I have no money. Hope you can sell it

  10. I've played this bass & this sounds really deeper & focused than JJ pick up configu...
    If you want punch & fat sound out of Sadowsky, this is yours.

    i've heard masta in live action with this beaut, and it truly is the clean slappin', funk smashin' machine it looks to be. made me STRONGLY consider going for an ash bodied PJ. course, it dont hurt that funkmeister be rockin' it. :cool:
