I bought this beautiful bass new, in 2014. I'm fortunate to own a few great basses, and it's been sitting in my closet for the most part. Time to pass it along! Everything works as it should. Cosmetically, there's light swirling in the "slap spot" on the pickguard, but no other blems. Ash body with Brazilian Rosewood board; Sadowsky soap bars. Not a lot of playing time on this one... I have all the factory documentation, and will include it with the bass. Hit me with any questions you might have, or pix you might want to see. {} {} {}
Thanks for your interest! Well, I mostly want to sell it outright--but I won't mind if you want to wave some trade bait at me.
Thank you! Well, I've never owned a Sadowsky PJ. I've got a JJ with humcancellers in the same position; I'd say the soaps are in the same ballpark, and a bit meatier.
I was asked about the weight of the bass: 8.4 pounds, using the bathroom scale method. Yep, it's light for a fiver...
Had a request for a sound clip... Please excuse some sloppy playing... I just recorded this with a DAW; it's an MP3 file. No effects, no plugins. This is the bass straight into the interface box. The strings are stainless roundwounds with a good amount of playing time on them. What you hear is (1) fingerstyle, flat EQ, 50/50 blend; (2) fingerstyle, flat EQ, all bridge pickup; (3) fingerstyle, flat EQ, all neck pickup; (4) slapped, slight treble and bass boost, 50/50 blend. Erm...I forgot to set the end marker on the track. The recording ends at about 3:00.
