Has any one tryed the Nylon strings from Rotosound S885LD ? Or know of any other Nylon or nylon tape wound string? I use the Fender 9120s nylon tapewound on my four string but they do not have them for five strings. Thank`s Wink
+1 but... LaBella makes some, they are costy but I dig em quite abit and they seem to last a LONG time.
You are right on the costly part. I did post it on the string forums and that is what I came up with so far. About the best I have found them for on the net is fifty something with shipping I am use to spending in the thirtys for strings but that is getting above my head. I bet thay will turn up less than that some where. Got to play to night so will check latter. May be some big name will spot me and sixty dollars will not seem so much. But then again will be happy if we make gas money. We do a little better than that but sure glad I dont have to make a living at it. Thanks Wink
They say Acoustic bass . How do they sound on a Regular electric bass?? The price is right.if they sound good. I play every thing from Bapist church music to Southern Rock & blues Wink
They're not restricted to, or even necessarily specifically designed for, acoustic bass. Carvin only calls them that because they're the strings that they ship on their AC (semiacoustic) series. They work fine on electric bass.
Thank`s Richard. I will tell them to send your commisson. I really liked the sound of the Fender tapewound on my Washburn force four but they only come in four string sets and are a little short for the 35 inch peavey. Wink
