  1. I don't know why someone would want one of these, I mean, they look cool, but would sound thin and honky.
why would you want that sound?
I wonder what it sound like plugged in?

Okay, here's a question for YOU: if you don't know what it would sound like, why would you assume it would sound thin and honky?
  3. When I talk about it sounding thin and honky, I'm talking about acousticly. I based what I thought it would sound like on what a resonator guitar sounds like, (midrangy with out a lot of bottom).

when I said I wonder what it would sound like plugged in, I was refering to how much of the resonator sound would come through the pickup.

You'd be surprised. They don't sound thin, OR honky.

In fact, they tend to be louder, fuller, and punchier than regular acoustic bass guitars.

The thin, honky sound you associate with teh resonator guitars probably has something to do with those little girly strings they use.... :D
