OK, there are alot of people to thank for helping get this together...I feel like this is the grammies...in no order thanks to all these wonderful people:

    1. Matt Power (for selling it, thanks Matt, and offering the wood covers he had made by Carey N. to me!) Matt's a class act fo shizzel.
    2. Brian Barrett and Daryl Jones for facilitating the acquisition. Brian, as always, comes highly recommended.
    3. Larry Davis of Gallery Hardwoods for the knobs! Larry is a real credit to TB, with great craftsmanship and awesome CS.
    4. My buddy Jay (16thstlowfreak) for helping with the new PU's and bag. Thanks Jay! Jay just joined TB and is a great guy.

    Here it is:

    R-Bass double cut
    Alder body, imbuya top
33" scale, 3-piece maple neck and board (light birdseye)
Hipshot Model A and Ultralight tuners
Nordstrand NJ4SE's in wood covers by Carey
Acrylicized birdseye knobs from Gallery...pics dont do them justice
    Bartolini NTMB3 pre

This bass is a total blast to play, and sounds great. As expected, the sound improved pretty dramatically (though it was great already) with the NJ4SE's. It has does the punchy, throaty fingerstyle with a vengeance but is also a wicked slapper. With my Fodera Model 2000 pre it's even more ill.

    Nice bass! Congratulations.

I have to echo what you've said about Larry Davis.

He did a good thing for me too...and I haven't even handed him any $$$. Definitely an asset to the TB community and a great guy. Can't wait to find a good reason to buy some of his beautiful stuff!
  4. I love it. Simplicity at its finest. Congrats

Ya know, it just pains me to see another TB'er stuck with such a lame duck piece of firewood. Send it to me, my fellow TB'er, and it'll trouble you no more. Finally, you'll be able to sleep soundly again. I'm here to help. No no, no thanks are necessary. Just box it up as quickly as you can. Thanks. ;)

Just let me get the wood pickguard done for it and I'll send it right off to you. Thank for the compliments guys. It's pretty innocuous looking, but I assure you of its deadliness!

Beautiful bass, dude. Are the knobs wood as well? If they are they're beautiful too. Congrats.

Yep. I've seen a few of these, but sadly, haven't had a chance to play one.
  18. Dear sweet Jesus! That's one of the most elegant looking basses I have ever seen!!! I absolutely love it! The Imbuya top looks amazing, and the contrast between it and the pickup covers, knobs, and neck/fingerboard is stunning!

    Like Butta!

  19. A very beautiful Bass and with the right number of strings!!! ;)
