    Hi all,

Sorry if this is a stupid question... :help:

I have a Mesa/Boogie Diesel 2x15 Cab which has two 8ohm (stereo) inputs and one 4ohm (mono) input. :bassist:

If I run my SVTIII-Pro into it (which runs at 8 ohms, but most efficiently at 4ohms) is there any difference between running out of both amp outputs into both 8ohm inputs on the cab..... or...... running out of one amp output into the single 4ohm input on the cab?

Will one be safer/more efficient than the other?

    Thanks for any help!

  4. Your amp is mono. You can either run it for 4 ohm power into the full range of the cabinet or less power at 8 ohms into half of it.

I have no idea how much power that SVT puts out. Lets just say 500W at 4ohms.

The full range input gets you a 4ohm cab = 500W.

The two halves get you two 8ohm cabs, which makes one 4ohm cab = 500W.

    So really, Im sure. :)
