Awesome, thanks. I just picked one of the 80s versions up off of reverb.

Nice! I paid mine $30 in mint condition with the box and everything, also 80s one (with centered logo). :)

Sorry, old thread but enjoying the shootout.
@MAFbass1992 , is the mid boost on the MXR BOD at factory default or did you change it?
I tried the Aguilar a few years ago and really enjoyed it but as I already had the MXR BOD I couldn't justify changing.
The OC2 is the classic and would love to try the Octabvre one day too but the MXR BOD does the job for me when I need it to.

You like OC-2 ? Try the OC-5 . You'll find your OC-2 in one mode, but with a better tracking. And then you try the poly mode and ...wooooooow.... Perfect tracking, one octave down + one octave up that you can set up differently. Plus this thing works perfectly when doing double stop, chords, .. impressive.

I’m pretty sure the mid boost was off.

You turn it on and off a few times, starting at 02:11 and later too. Makes quite a difference so sounds like default.

Are you still using the Octamizer? I dig the sounds from your vid from that one.

I've had it for a while now and really like the Queequeg.
Tracks every pitch on my bass - so I ddon't have to think about that all too much at all, and doesn't sound too OC-2 ish.

    Really good.
I may get the updated version as well.
