Are there any pedals out there for bass that do the octave up and fuzz combo well? I want something that doesn't lose low end. I've seen some pedals that are more of a ratty fuzz and and octave up. Currently I have a tonebender fuzz.
    Thanks

3Leaf Audio You're Doom. Great upper octave harmonics. Especially when playing notes higher on the neck & with the Shape switch in the up position.

I agree about the You're Doom, but the Univox Superfuzz does the octave up really well too. I built a clone of the Superfuzz and couldn't be happier with the results.

I believe the B:assmaster does this. As well as the VFE Wood Chipper :smug:

Many boutique pedal builders can add a dirty octave up to their fuzz/OD/distortion circuits.

The MI Audio Pollyanna has a wicked octave up, really strong and nasty with a clean blend, tone knob and of course lower octaves as well.

  9. The McSpunckle Gnomeratron VTF does a nice snotty octave up.

My Earthquaker Devices Hoof/Reaper was amazing for an octave up sound.

Like, the best dirty fuzzy octave up I've ever used. I miss that thing.

SA's OFD has an Octave Fuzz, it's my single favorite on my board. It gives a nice octave up harmonic and has plenty of low end. I don't have my amp with me but I cranked this out right quick as a sample. I usually have a hair more clean dialed in to maintain presence but should give you a good rough idea of what it's capable of
