    Whose using what?

What do you like about it and how does it handle bass?

I use to have a Danelectro French Toast and loved it for really crazy wall of fuzz sounds but it sucked in the low end and overall was just cheap in it's build quality but with some new boutique fuzz's coming out and the re-introduction of the Fender Blender my interest is piqued. But what was crazy to me back when I had the Frech Toast isn't all that crazy now :D but it a sound I don't have covered.

    So lets hear it.

Nah it's cool Tecx sent me sound clips of his a while ago but he's making noise and things so I was after other experiences with it and similar pedals

    Malekko B:ASSMASTER.

    It's goooood.

  7. I'm a big fan of my Guyatone TZ2. The octave doesn't really kick in until you get to the upper registers, but that's how i prefer it. No low end suck and pretty synth-y.

  8. +1!
I think every bass player should have this box

    Hi there!

    I have 2! :)

First one is the Ampeg Scrambler (the reissue, but afaIk, it's also discontinued now).
Great pedal IMO. It has a blend knob to mix in your clean signal.. so absolutely no low end loss. When you keep the TEXTURE know low it's also a GREAT fuzz without octave up. Depending on how you set the control it can be quite subtle or pretty extreme!

The second one is the Death by Audo Octave Clang.
This one for sure is on the more extreme side! Anyone who has heard DBA pedal knows what I'm talking about.
It doesn't have a blend knob, and on some settings the low end is lost, but when you turn up the input gain knob, you also add massive bass! Another + of the Octave clang is that (if you want) you can easily reach areas, where it sounds like a ring modulator! :)

I'm satisfied with both of them and can't see letting one go...
But I want a Malekko B:SSMASTER for sure! :smug:

    Devi Ever's vintage fuzz master.

does the "wall of sound at" low to mid gain and gets CRAZY at higher gains.

    cheap as hell too.:bassist:

Never tried one but the bass sound clips I heard it weas pretty good but its quite crazy wall of fuzz tone.

I never really thought the PE Depth Charge had a very pronounced Octave up particularly compared to some of the more crazy pedal. I've finally got a good sound out of it but it's not fixing my octave up fuzz gas :D
