OD pedal to go with Markbass LMII

Hello all !

I bought the Markbass LMII few days ago and I´d like to know what OD pedals are others running in front of their LittleMarks. I´d say that I have my favourite already and it is the EBS ValveDrive, but I´d like others to chime in and see what they are using or what they recommend, as my experience with OD pedals is rather limited. My budget is 200 €/300 bucks, and I plan to go second-hand.
Here´s what I personaly am after : I play in a 3-piece rock´n´roll band. But we combine various elements of 70´s punk (The Clash, Ramones, The Jam), blues and contemporary indie music (The Strokes, The Killers). So I just need some tubey flavour to be added to the Markbass´ clean sound. Otherwise I´m really happy with it so far. It has a great punchy sound.
I´d like to remark that my overdrive pedal should be ON for the most of the time, but I don´t want or need some kind of preamp at the first place. I guess many would suggest the VTBass, but since I´m not after mimicing certain kind of sound (in this case Ampeg) I excluded that as well. But who knows...Maybe you would convince me
