I was wondering, I recently visited some store in Helsinki and saw these odd Hartke cabs I've never heard about before.

They had paper cones. Now, that's not odd, they have their cheapo-VX series out by now. These weren't VXs. Even stranger was the 'tweeter', which was the very same alumnium 5" mid driver than in the XL-series cabs.

Paper cones, alumnium mid driver, rings a bell anyone? I think there was a name badge "BX410" or something like that on the front grill..

Maybe they fried some aluminum 10's and replaced them with paper?

That's the MX series cabs. I haven't heard much about them but yes they are as you described.

  4. I think those are the MX series. They came out about 7 or 8 years ago and never caught on.Bassplayer magazine had a 410 shootout in the Nov.95 issue and it didn't rate very high.Smooth highs but it didn't like B strings much.
