The story I was told, when I picked up the B15 was something like...
Late 50's early 60's a young couple live in PA. He plays music. Not sure if it was for a living or enjoyment.
He gets drafted around 1965, and goes to Viet Nam. Does not return!
All his gear, is actually put in a closet. A B15, a B18, an upright bass, a mandolin, early 60's custom color Strat, early 60's jazz bass. And misc items.
Years later, another young couple move in next door. He helps out the older lady next door one day. It becomes routine. He cuts her grass, helps with things around her house.
He's a collector, but not of musical gear, although, he knows it's worth something. He collects among other things...Samurai swords! Thats his real passion! That and train sets!
One day the lady next door decides to move back home to the south. She tells him he can have it all!! He takes it! This is around 2010-11.
Sells off most everything, but keeps the B15 for his kid. His kid doesn't have a lot of interest. So he decides to put it on Craigs list to help fund a 14th century Samurai sword!
He puts it up around midnight, and I run into it immediately after. He holds it for me. He was/is a good guy!

When composing a message, there’s button “Upload a File” at the bottom right in the middle. Navigate on your system to the directory with the file and select it. It will accept jpg and png for example. File size is limited. Set your cursor in the composition window to where you want the image. Then select the “full image” button.

    Very clean inside.

Good electrolytic caps used for the power supply re-cap.

The amp was converted from cathode biased to fixed bias. This gives you five more watts of output power.

It looks like some of the shielded wires have been changed.

    Coupling caps were changed.

Ugh, my local GC had a PF-50T on clearance for $499 because it had been sitting on the floor since December of 2016. I was being cheap and waiting to see if it’d go down to $399. I just saw the $100 rebate available from Ampeg so I swung by to see if the amp was still around. It is not. :bored:

I need to stop being so cheap.

    Thanks for the response.

Is converting the bias something that could reduce desirability, or value?
Seems to me, if wanted, it could be reversed, correct?
There is a little corrosion in there in spots...input washers, on top of some screws etc.
Taking out the inputs to clean them is a bit of a concern, as there are resisters(?) attached that I don't want to break.
Is just a spray of deoxit enough, or am I just being lazy and cowardly? :)
    Thanks again.

It's funny to me, that every time I see a B15, I'm like...Man, what a cool amp! And they all are practically the same amp!

Excuse my screw up with the handles and top photos.
    I meant that for this...

I remember that there was recently a conversation about handles.
My handle was replaced by the more common blue leather. Although the original was included, along with the piece of NRF tolex, and a shelf covered in NRF that had been attached to the amp.
It's interesting that holes were cut for different handles. Although the round ones for a suitcase handle, look recent!

Does the image of the new handle there, look like the old?
