  1. Yeah, I love my 115s. Mostly I only use one, for they are pretty robust. And efficient, two make my 100w V4B seem louder than when I've played it thru a SVT810

I'm still stuck between ordering a fender 610/810 for my super bassman :(

    I would think about (2) 410's

I would go a cab with 2x10's on top and a cab with a single 15 on the bottom.

    Unfortunately Fender doesn't offer a Bassman 210

Indeed, I was referring to the current BASSMAN neo lineup that would match the Super Bassman aesthetically.

  10. If you've got room, and actually think you'll NEED it, get the 810, Ive heard it's superb.
But, I've heard the 610 is fine also.
I run 2 Bassman 115s which I think is superb also. And they get loud too. So much so that I've never run outta volume using them both with the SB300.... you could of course, run 4 x 115s at a 2 ohm load with the SB300.
    that be a hoot? :hyper::woot::hyper:

  11. There'd also be a ton of info in the SUPER BASSMAN thread
The Fender Super Bassman 300 thread

Member @Tim1 has the 810 and Super Bassman and, iirc , once had a 610 also

So you could use the search function to find his posts on it

E8A01E79-0400-44FF-98B8-0FE81D3A2572. Here is my 1973 Fender Bassman 50 that I bought brand new in 1973. I gigged it through the 70’s until I needed a bigger rig. It has been sitting in my home ever since. Just the other day I felt the urge to fire her up. She sounded better then I remembered! The head was a little noisy due to being all original so I will be getting all new Caps in her! I then played just the Cab.which is the 215 hooked up to my mesa prodigy and then with my mpulse 600. WOW I really liked the tone I was getting! I will be playing this more...Felt like I found an old friend!

    Those vinyl covers are thick!

Thinking about a 410 or 610 myself.. Anyone have an opinion of the 410 by itself..?

I started out with the 100T and a 410 neo. Loved it but wanted more so added another 410 neo. Loved it even more but realised I really wanted the clean headroom of a 300 watt tube power section so added a Super Bassman. Now if I had started with the SB and a 410 I would have been done, absolutely no need for anything more. I actually prefer the sound of the SB pushing hard on a single 410 vs both 410s. I also was originally on the fence between a 410 and a 610 but decided that not only is the 410 more manageable to transport but adding another one was way more desirable for me than a 610 by itself. If you want comparisons between the two and the 115 and 810 as well, as stated above @rodl2005 and @Tim1 have great insights that can be found on both the Super Bassman and 100T threads.

Oh...I see...me gonna pick this one up for myself then. Think I will match it up with the Rumble 200 head.

6BE1E180-36CA-44E4-9AD7-D2EC1361EA4B. Thank You G-Dog! My first Talkbass club membership!
There really is not much to tell about the cab.
I bought the bassman 50 head and cab brand new together in 1973.
I used it in the 70’s until I wanted/needed something louder.
So she has been sleeping in my home for the last 40 or so years.
Both the head and cab are 100% original and never needed any repairs except now that I played her the other day she deserves all new caps in the head. The original speakers sounded really good!
Here is a photo of the plate on the back of the cab.

I think I've got some cab resonance issues with my 210 combo. I cranked it up in our theater (it gets pretty dang loud!!) and I heard some rattling in it - hard to describe, sounds like an upper mid vibration (remember the distortion I mentioned that I heard?) so maybe I'm asking too much of it. Any ideas on how to strengthen the cab? Lining the internal joints with silicone sealant? Just curious.
