I love my 89 MIJ Jazz bass
I got mine from http://www.ishibashi-music.com/
I have a Noel Redding signature Jazz bass (signed on the scratchplate).
It seems pretty good to me but I never play it - it just stays in the corner.
Does anyone know much about these? like how many were made?
I've got a 57 RI CIJ P
What member no. am I ?
I need a better picture, this is with my camera phone
Here are some more pics of my CIJ. Can I get my member number now please?

rylche - I'm glad to see you joining the club! I hope you enjoy your 57 P and much as I do mine.
CIJ bass porn...mmm...
2000 57RI P.
Mmmm Nice one. Don't like the color though, but that's me. I don't like sunbursts (2 tone, 3 tone or tobacco sunset). I don't mind the MIA Deluxe cherryburst though, that's the only one I like.
I'm not much for pink paisley, so I guess we're even
I guess so. At first I wasn't big on the color either, but it really grew on me. At first I saw the bass in the store and went "EWWW", but I was there with my friend and he picked it up and played it while I was trying out another bass. I love the sound and looked over and saw him playing it and this about sums up my face: . So I went over there, took it out of his hand and played it. I love the tone, the feel and the weight. The vintage style p-bass pickup looked cool and the 2 saddle bridge looked great too. So I bought it and loved it ever since. Then I found out how limited it was and liked it even more. And now I'm all like this:
Here's a couple....
That unlined fretless Jazz. mmmmm
Much thanks for your help in my other thread. I seriously was getting utterly confused from differing information offered by Fender Japan and the Fender Support Website. Once again, would like to express my gratitude for your kind help!
I'm definitely enjoying my 57 P , and I sincerely hope all of us do to our MIJ basses!
That looks alot like my MIM ALOTTTTTT
Here's my CIJ GL . It's for sale, but I'm having seller's remorse .
It's okay. One taste of Fender CIJ and you'll be back.
I just got a Geddy, so I believe that qualifies me.
Sucky picture, but it's one of the finest Fender-style basses I've ever played. It sounds great and cuts through the mix, the quality of construction is wonderful, and it runs circles around any MIM I've ever touched in both tone and playability. I traded my MIM lined fretless jazz that I had gotten a mere week before in order to get this and I'm not regretting it one bit.
My only bit of sadness is that I can't find a lot of time to play it for hours until Monday, so it's sitting on my wall looking awesome for now.
Hooray! I'm in the club now
Earwigger you've got a real sweet looking Geddy there.
