WAY cool, animal! My only experience with Aero's was on a 4-string Darryl Jones. They sounded very nice to my ears. The bass was also very nice but I returned it because I had stronger GAS for a 55-94 at the time...

Welcome indeed, and what a way to make an entrance! That's one gorgeous TBass! I hope you have as much fun with it as I do with mine! That third pickup is certainly something I should have considered... but two works fine for me for now ;)

    Best,
    DW

Thanks everyone. The quality and Jimmy's customer service are top-notch (which, of course, everyone in this club already knows!). The T3 even came with a personalized note signed by Jimmy, which I thought was a classy touch. It amazes me that Jimmy can offer these at a price that isn't too far away from some of the comparable, but mass produced, instruments made by the big guys (i.e. gibson, fender, EBMM). One day people will realize what Jimmy's instruments are really worth, and we'll all be glad we got ours while they were still affordable :)

  9. Another L2 (30,5) owner here.
    I have mine since 09.
Strung it since day one with flat Chromes and never looked back.

Excellent bass with top workmanship from the always helpful Jimmy.

One or two objections I might I have if I was knitpicking but when I listen to the bass, I forget about them.

I 'll be honest though and say that I will probably proceed to a 32" line-in four change of the neck. The pointy 2x2 headstock never grew on me.
And I've was always been kind of partial to rosewood......

would you like a number AudioCostUs?
If so it would be #12

Welcome.....what pickup do you have on that? Nice.....

  11. Thanks for the number loopee. :)

The pickups on my L2 are active EMG 40P5 (neck) 40DC (bridge) through EMG BTS control EQ (Master Vol, Treble, Bass & 3-way pups switch).

Just thought I'd let you guys know of another happy Landing owner. I've had mine for a little over 4 months and we are now inseparable.

I see you have an extra knob on that......what is it for?

Would you be averse to # 13?

    Hey Guys,

I've been admiring these basses from afar and I'm getting gas for an L3. Does anyone have any sound clips of these basses? I searched TB and google but came up empty. Clips of an L3 with EMCs would be ideal but I'd like to hear anything at this point.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks.

The knobs are Neck Volume, Bridge Volume, Treble, and Bass.

13 is OK. After all, it is a prime number and is the stuff of legend. ;)

If you would prefer 13, I have no objections. I'm sure loopee will hold it for you.
