Does an official list exist? I have owned a few of these reissues in the past and have an 89 Ocean Turquoise 62 J on the way (delivery tomorrow) and I'm curious what colors were available in the past with this series?

I know Sunburst and Oly white have been standard options for 62's and 2 tone SB and white blonde for the 57's pretty much the entire run from '82 to 2012. What I have seen outside of those standard colors are:

    CAR (57P, 62J)
    Lake Placid Blue (Fullerton P, 62 J (98-2001?)
    Black (57P, 62P, 62J)
    Ocean Turquoise (62J)
    Surf Green (62J)
    Fiesta Red (62P)
    Mary Kaye white

Any others out there? Anyone know the years these custom colors were available?

Inca Silver was done too in the 90's.

And then Mars Music had a sizeable run made of Jazzes and Strats done in Ice Blue with matching headstocks. They still turn up used from time to time.

(I think the list is for Corona Colors. Fullertons were available in CAR and LPB for sure).

Wow that pretty much answers that question, thank you!

Next question would be production numbers, because I search fairly regularly and hardly see any of these custom color basses. Some more than others.

I did have a 62 RI P recently that stumped me. I thought it was Oly white that had faded, but it was yellow in the unexposed area. It was a '94, so it had to be a Vintage White.

  5. Yes, Vintage White looked already like a yellowed Oly when it left the factory.
