since I have a bunch of Basses that work for me, I may let this one go. Not sure yet. If I do I’ll see if there is interest here before I try to return it. It’s beautiful. And would allow a new bass with no wait.

No need for a number... don't even have the bass yet, but just wanted to note that my bass is completely paid for as of today.

I got a $200 discount that I bet nobody else did, also!

Not from Nordstrand though :) . Just happened to notice that my bank had a Quicksilver credit card promotional offer. $200 back on the first $500 spent. I left a deposit last week to get my order secured, then paid the rest off with my new card, which came today. Yay.

Mine clocks in at 6.81 pounds. It's a bl:):)dy miracle to me, as one who swore on the grave necessity of 3 inch straps.

SOOO... I read through most of this thread last night and now I'm wondering. I was told I'd get my bass in 5 to 6 weeks. Should I count on that being accurate? Did you guys all have to wait months because it was a new shipment, or should I be expecting my bass some time in September? I understand that, "it is what it is," but I have a ton of gigs coming up over the summer and I was hoping to be using this. How does this waiting thing REALLY work?

Reach out to @SoniaMara as she's your best contact at Nordy about this. The thread with everyone posting order #s has been just fun speculation. She's in charge of logistics there and can give you their realistic time frame.

I realize that some folks are still awaiting their first CAT, so apologies there, but I got my back-up Cat a few weeks ago and thought a picture of my pride, well at least my pair, would be good!

    I got this custom made at WGMusic.com / pickguards.com.

Cost was $79.95 plus $12.95 shipping. Turn around was just over 2 weeks, although I see they are not taking custom orders at this time. They may still have the cad template for my plates and if so they might not consider it as a custom order. They are usually very responsive to e-mail so I'd suggest you ask.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind once I get my bass. I may love the retro vibe of parchment on red and just stick with that... but we'll see. The mirrored guard looks awesome.

Mine have the same noise hum issue when I'm not touching the strings.
I'm going to try copper in cavity and under pickguard.
I'm in contact with Carey too about changing one pickup.
With Nylon strings is not possible to go in studio...
This bass is really killer but I have to fix this problem.

I'd be interested to learn if the copper will help! :)
May I ask what the issue is with one of your pickup?
