Well I did a crazy thing today! I replaced my (2)Meyer Sound UPA-1P's and (2) Meyer Sound USW-1P's with (2)Meyer Sound MTS-4A's!!!! Each one has 1-18",1-15",1-12", 1 horn, and is powered(2480 watts of power)!

I also bought a Meyer Sound PSM-2 powered 1x12 w/horn monitor to go with my (2)Meyer Sound UMS-1P powered 2x10 subs for smaller gigs!:hyper: :hyper:

For the love of God, stop this madness! I shout to the heavens above "YOU WIN!" We live in a seismically sensitive area, don't you know? I can't wait to drop in on you sometime and see all of this!

Wait...are these intended to be used as a BYO PA setup, or just as your own person "stage monitors" for your instrument only? While it certainly is neat having such top quality gear, especially given that such a rig could handle a show in which you address an entire nation as an audience and your stage is a quarter mile long, but to bring two of these things to a gig for personal monitoring seems like you'd be depriving these units of their optimum range of usability.

What I mean by that statement, is that two of these things pumping out your bass signal would be so loud at minimal wattage that the transducers would never really get to stretch their legs, and thus detract from fidelity. That is, unless you've got a high pass filter at 80hz and you're using a bass with a low f # and you're only plucking on it...

They sound great even at low volumes! Keep in mind that I will be mostly using them on loud gigs.My PSM-2 and (2)UMS-1P's work for the other gigs I do,and takes-up very little stage real estate. The three cabinets stacked only measure about 2' wide by less than 4.5' high!

All I know is I want those friggin' Meyers cabs Stefan used to play; like on the "Listener Supported" DVD. I've not seen many people with their rigs OVER their heads! I could do with HALF that and be cool!

But both would be nice... ;) Mmm, stereo!

...and here I thought maybe one would do the trick (check my profile GAS list -- been there awhile)!!!

That's gotta be the world's best sounding bass system!

Congratulations again (I'm glad someone is THAT crazy).
  10. I'd love to be able to afford a setup like that, but even then I think I'd buy a small country instead.
