The fates are against me this week... I've sworn off buying gear until my birthday in March, but the bastards at Fulltone released this:

Hey, you're birthday is ten years and a day before mine!

Anyway, I've sworn off buying stuff until March 24th for the very same reason, with the exception of my upright bass my parents are buying me for Christmas and my car.

As far as this thing, I think I need to go lie down too. But, unlike you, fate is on my side. I have oodles (yes, I said oodles) of work to do and everything that was going to get in my way has been cancelled, leaving me time to procrastinate instead of doing my work :D

    That's all for now!

I've already got one of those (along with 4 other Lovetone pedals). :D

In response to the above questions: it's a tube driven tape echo. Tape is THE way to go for delays, as long as you don't plan on gigging with it, or you trust it in a rack. The Meatball is an envelope filter. Listen to Bootsy Collins. You'll get the idea.

It may be "the daddy" but IME it's too damn complicated for live use.

I'm feeling a little suspicious about Lovetone sourcing anything out to a third party. I've talked to Vlad personally a few times (I own 5 of his pedals), and he seems very protective of his designs. They shut it down just because he wants to pursue other interests. I haven't gotten any emails from him saying otherwise.

I use my Meatball live all the time. Of course, it's a set it and forget it effect. And it's not really complicated once you get the hang of it.

From an email to me from Vlad at lovetone

"We are still very much IN BUSINESS however, and furthermore all is not lost
on the pedal front. Your emails and calls have encouraged us to look for
alternatives and we are pleased to announce that we have secured an
agreement with a third party who will market a short trial run of
MEATBALLS. The pedal will be the same design as before, and made in the UK
using the same construction methods. Lovetone will closely supervise the
changeover process in order to endeavour to maintain the highest standards."

i hope hees telling the truth. i still cant afford a reissue meatball :p

Well, pluck me tailfeathers and call me baldy. I never got that email. Will they be making all the pedals, or just the Meatball?

I'm glad I got the first run of these. The value on these keeps going higher and higher.:D
