I just read this on www.abcnews.com

Apparently a 73 man in Indiana won $57,000 on a lottery game show. Unfortunately, on the way home he was hit by a truck and killed. After the show the man said:

"I am very thankful," he proclaimed. "I must admit that I never expected to be leaving the show with this amount of money. Now I can purchase a very nice car."

  2. Crazy stuff man.

    RIP lucky guy:meh:

Lucky? Remember, he may have won the lottery, but you can't take it with you.

  4. lucky/unlucky guy?

  5. I don't think money does you any good when your dead. At least last time I checked.

I used to think that song blew bc nothing in that song was really irony. THat isnt the definition of irony, to win mmoney and then die. Wats ironic about that song is that nothing in it is really ironic, and that makes the song iself ironic.

  11. Yeah, I'm with you on that one Figjam. I mean rain on your wedding day is just bad luck, it's not ironic...etc.

Maybe she doesn't really understand what ironic means? So, to her all of those things are ironic?

It is if you married a weather man and he set the date :)

  17. I could still be bad luck. He may have picked that date because he doesn't want to get married:) (Would that be bad luck or wrong choice?)

Look at it this way, He won $57,000. I'm sure that he died a very happy man.

Kinda like in the movie "American Beauty". Kevin Spacey's character was at the highest point in his life, and died happy.

Hey, when I die, I hope it's at a peak point in my life. Not at my lowest.

Ya know what I mean!? :meh:
