I guess it was karma for going by all the WaMu's last week and yelling "YOUR BANK FAILED" to the people in line.

Wachovia got bought out by CitiGroup. Awesome.

    The stocks are plummeting. Awesome.

How much worse can this get before it gets better?

I was talking to one of my econ professors and he said that the US will never be the economic front runner ever again. If we start making a lot of positive changes, we'll be a strong participant in the 21st century economy, and definitely one of the front-runners, but our days of being the powerhouse are over...

Couldn't happen to a nicer bank.

They don't call it Walk-over-ya for nuthin'

As far as the rest, it's too political.

this is probably a stupid question, but does this mean that i can pay my citicard bill at wachovia every month, and if so if i walk in hand them a payment, how long before it credits. right now i just do the internet "click to pay" deal.

I think there's a lot of truth in this statement as more and more players enter the world economy.

I loved First Union... I got fed up with Wachovia quickly after they bought up my bank and moved my accounts.

Still, I'd rather be wondering how I'm going to afford my vacation (and maybe downsizing it or even skipping it this year) than wondering how I'm gonna be able to afford to feed my family this week.
