Ohhh, No! lost password! Computer techies help!

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Guss, Nov 23, 2002.

  1. Bad news for me. I have not been on my home computer for months. Even when on TB I'm at a neighbors house or at work.
Well, I got back today and decided to go online. Anyway, I forgot my password. I'm over at my neighbors right now. I was wondering if there is anyway to get into the bowels of my computer and find it. Or do I have to e-mail someone?
  2. That would be the internet service.
  3. baseball bat + CPU + frustration= no more computer problems

yup, the ISP should be able to reset your password.

    call 'em.

btw, don't feel bad. where i work (the UW dept of IT helpdesk) i have to reset about 50 passwords a day.
  6. I prefer pump-action shotgun. Just as fun, just as damaging, and takes less effort.

    Rock on
    That's a relief, thanks everbody!

How were you posting if you couldn't get on the net?

Has anyone noticed what a hassle passwords are?

I must have 6, between credit card, ISP, work, IRA management, etc.,.

And then you have to update them, and sometimes they can't be recycled.

I frequently read that digital security will be a huge issue in the future; I wonder if we will address passwork management / identity verificaton.
