I have a peavey Firebass 700 head (475 at 4 ohms, 700 at 2 ohms.) and i have an Ampeg STV HLF 4X10 cab (4 ohms), and was recently given an Ampeg 2X12 Cab (8 ohms) ....

Will it blow the cab or the head to run at an uneven load like that, with the 4 and 8 ohm cabs both plugged into the head?

It comes to about 2.64 ohms. If the amp goes down to 2 ohms you should be ok.

The 410 will get twice the power that the 2x12 gets. Which itself won't hurt anything, just keep it in mind.

THanks! that's great then..... cuz the 410 is rated at 500 watts, 1000W peak, and the 212 is about 200 i think...

THanks so much for the input!

FYI: There's so such thing as ohmage, the correct term is impedance (or resistance for DC).
