I am using a hartke 350w/ 8 ohm head and two 1200w/ 4 ohm cabs. My question is that i am running both cabs from the head, via two 8 ohm outputs, will this damage the speakers or should i chain the cabs and run one output from the head? Ive been trying to figure it out but i think i may have confused myself. Any help would be appreciated

  2. Either way is the same result to the head..........

A 2 ohm load, and if your head is not rated to handle a 2 ohm load, you will eventually kill it.

+1 you cannot safely run two 4 ohm cabs with an amp that has a 4 ohm minimum impedance, (as most do). The result will be a fried amp.

Which Hartke head do you have?
