I have been looking at all the cabs and trying them out and have decided to go with the SWR Goliath III series. YES!

My question is this, I know NOTHING about this ohm stuff. I am going to get 2 swr 4x10s and power it with the swr 750x head. So, what ohms should everything be and if you could, please tell me why.

    thanks,
    Brandon

  2. The SWR 750 is a bit of an odd duck in that it puts out max power into a 2.67 ohm load. The only way I can figure to get a 2.67 ohm load is to mix a 4ohm and an 8ohm cab, which nobody I know recomends. But it cranks out 750 watts into 4ohms and to be on the safe side that's what I think you ought to shoot for. You can achieve a 4ohm load by either using one 4ohm cab (of course) or by using two 8ohm cabs.
