Ok heres the deal. I've got a Hartke 2000 head and a 4x10 cab. The Hartke is 200 wts @ 4 ohms and the cab is 600 wts @ 8 ohms. What is it gonna do when I plug it in? I know the ohms are the resistance but I dont know if the 200wts will be cut in half in the cab or if the full 200 will be pushed to the cab with room to spare. How does this crap work? :bassist:

Since you've got an 8ohm cabinet, your Hartke will only see an 8ohm load. The 2000 has a rating of 120w (RMS?) at 8 ohms.

To put it simply, your Hartke 2000 will be putting around 120w into your cabinet at maximum. :)
