Hello, I recently bought an oil finished bass, my first and only one. I was wondering what the cleaning specs were on this, it seem to really soak up the dirt, sweat and grime, and also seems to show wear easily. Can anyone help out here?

I'd suggest getting good quality Tung Oil (try www.stewmac.com), and apply it every couple of months or so.

Would this apply across the board? I have oil finish on 3 different brands. One of them (the Rob Allen) recommends a wipe-on Minwax once a year, and carnuba wax every 90 days or so. The other 2 brands (Sukop & Elrick), you can't email for info, and the TELECOM route is difficult, or else I've been unlucky not to get the builders when I've called.
