As a visiting alien being I have decided to absorb all of American culture and so have bought all 11 series / 262 episodes of Married With Children, which I will be assimilating over the holiday period. Having thereby become culturally American do I get a badge or something?

Ps this is intended as humour, not sarcasm:)

I've seen the original Office several times and I enjoy boiled meat. Do I get to be English?

Boiled meat? I knew the french referred to us as "rosbifs" but that would be even worse... especially as I'm vegetarian...

I couldn't even make it through one full episode of that show. Good luck. ;)

For a better understanding of American culture..........watching Married with Children is pretty good..................but a better and more accurate immersion into USA culture would be watching a bunch of old episodes of The Simpsons. And I also am not being sarcastic!

I’ve seen a fair few Simpson episodes, very amusing! My favourite American comedy show is Apartment 23.

For Canada, you just need to watch six episodes of Coach’s Corner and chug a quart of maple syrup.

I guess for England it’s Fawlty Towers and room-temperature ale.

  16. I figured it would involve building an igloo and a two-four of beer, I'm partial to Molson for macro stuff.
