OK Fender. If you won't, I will... Dig my new Robert Wilson "Sig" Bass.

As an owner of a candy apple red P-Bass with a maple board myself, I gotta say that's purdy.

Kudos to Fender on the newer MIMs.
While changing the pickguard, I saw better pots, wires and even grounding than the 1990s MIMs. I was set to replace. No need.
I was looking for a Candy Apple Red which has been discontinued. Fortunately I found one in Redlands, CA. Evidently, the last in the state.

I do not think Robert Wilson used one, but a detuner would be handy for anyone trying to play Yearning for Your Love.

    True.
That song used to drive me nuts on my Peavey T-40 in High School.
Special shout to the late Jimi Macon on lead guitar.
I met him in the 90s outside a radio station whilst Uncle Charlie was charming the hosts inside before an evening concert.
I was looking for Robert as any Bass-Head Stalker type would. Unfortunately he was off the road in the hospital after getting sepsis from an infected molar.
I offered Jimi to play the bass parts for free, but he said "We got it covered with a Moog. You'll never hear the difference."

I have a CAR P-bass, rosewood board though. But now I want a sparkly pickguard! Where did you find it?

A ton of GAP Band music was played on Moog or some other synthesizer in the studio. I think only their first two albums were almost all P-bass. Robert Wilson was probably featured less than any great bassist I know about.

Yes. You are right. It did.
I think, however later on, during the later "GAP III" and "GAP IV" he may have moved to glitter. Hard to tell since media is scarce, just as you said.

True. After Bernie Worrell hit us with Flashlight, everything changed.
What I dig about GAP is that Robert still played along side the Moog so you can still hear that P-Bass poke through (ex..Burn Rubber)

Hey Lowdownthump,I just noticed your avatar.

That Taste of Honey album was GREAT. My personal favorite track "World Spin". FONKY. (even tho she was playing her Jazz Bass).

Boogie++ too me, was the weakest of the whole album. A gazzillion people disagree with me, I know.
