OK heres a strange thought

    Right so you have to double the wattage to get a 3db increase in volume if you don't double the wattage you don't get a noticable difference in volume.

    So a 300w amp will sound just as loud as a 400w amp RIGHT?
    A 400w amp will sound just as loud as a 700w amp right?

    So if the 300 sounds as loud as the 400 and the 400 sounds as loud as the 700 how come theres a difference between the 300 and the 700.

    Is it just me or is this a bit strange.

    Yes yes I know bit of a pointless thread but its bothering me.

    And someone who's 5'10" seems the same height as someone who's 5'11" and someone who's 5'11" seems the same height as someone who's 6' but 6' is definitely taller than 5'10"...

    It's not that 400W sounds the same as 300W, just not much louder. But make the difference big enough and it becomes more obvious.

  5. I wonder if I could use this logic when paying my bills. Send $300 instead of $700 and tell them that there is no difference. I'll use you as a reference.....:confused: :p
