I've built two Warmoth basses and now I want to build an 8-string (octave). I love John Entwistle and so I want a Buzzard body shape. Warmoth makes a good 8-string neck although I would rather have the Buzzard headstock shape too. Just want the body cut, sanded, routed, and finished in black gloss. Does anyone know of a source to have something like this made?

you could get a neck with a paddle headstock and just cut it yourself

Absolutely. Warmoth sells "paddle-head" (uncut headstock) necks. Get a five-string neck from them, paddle-head, then shape the headstock yourself.

You'll also have to cut an 8-string nut for it.

Yeah but the main question was about the Buzzard body.

Sorry! Pretty sure you'll have to go custom there, unless you feel like making it yourself. Making a body for a bolt-on isn't that hard. I've done a few now, and I have the woodworking skills of a third grader.
