i had been waiting on a Warmoth body ( Mary Kay Whie ) that i wasn;t too sure of because of the pinkish hue... then this turned up.
    Couldn't help it. I'm toast..
i looked at it next to a pic of the maple board, white block and binding neck i bought... done.
Now i gotta sell something.. and i have nothing to sell!

That's a beauty. What pickups/preamp and bridge are you looking at?

i have a Hipshot style b bridge here already, but i am big on the style a bridge, so i may sell the B- or maybe just go with it. dunno.
for a pre, i really dig the East pre's so it's gonna be another retro- this time a J retro deluxe in chrome. Looks liek i may try the Nordstrand pickups ( i have DiMarzio Ultra Jazz's on my other one )
Carey suggests the fatstacks, but i really like a J looking pup on a j style bass.. so i may use his humcancelling j's-
believe it or not, i want to put a pickguard on it, i wanted a classic look, like the sadowskys with the maple tops and guards, they look great to me. I am going to bug Nino to make a guard for me, maybe send it to him for assembly.

mmmm... that would be a tough one. i have thought the unthinkable... sell the mac and get a less fancy F.. i have a BN6 ready in 4 weeks taht i have not decided if i will sell or not, but now, unless something moves.. i won't be able to keep. I can't see not having an F. Well, if it's His will.

Dude, I just discovered warmoth last week (i knew it existed but never checked it out) and i caught a warmoth bug. I've gone thru numerous designs in my head and i think i've settled on one but time will tell, i change my mind constantly and i can't afford a bass for another 4 months. I haven't figured a neck yet, but i can get a bass how i want it for under or around a grand! I didn't think it could be done! Mmmm...black stripes on white.

It's a crime to put screw holes in a beatiful rear-routed top like that, let alone hide half the wood behind a hunk of plastic!

DON'T DO IT!!! AAAAUUUUGH!!!! :bawl: :bawl:

oh, GREAT! just when i was starting to think of NOT putting a guard on it. well, i have time to figure it out- maybe i'll just tape a guard on it and take it off when i am not in the mood! :)
it does look goofd with the neck "in place" when i put the pics side by side. Unfortunately, I am photoshop challenged, so i can't post what it would look like. Beav? feeling spunky ?

i really have no business buying another bass...

Oh, Adrian! That is going to be SOO sweet! I would normally be in the "no guard" camp, but I can really see a nice Mint Green guard on there. Bee-u-ti-ful!

That neck is gonna look beautiful on the bass! I don't see too many alder/maple basses. Good Luck A.
