Damn, I've found me a new piece of gear to lust after. :bassist:

  2. Blimey!!

  3. Yeah, I haven't liked a cab this much since the Peavey Wiggy extension cab.

But looks alone do not a great cab make, and I'm sure Ashdown has that dept., well, down.

No slight to Peavey...but damn, stop letting Dweezil design your amps. :D

  4. Man that is cool. I have seen the combo version. That thing has stage appeal.

    Jorg, take note.

All it's missing is rabbit ears and a bowl of jiffy time popcorn.

What time do the Beverly Hillbillies come on?

  6. Very cool look. Hey I remember rabbit ears.. and jiffy pop, and party lines, and no garages....let alone one car type. I can still rock though! :bassist:

  7. yeah, really nice looking cab.

Aren't you related to the Indian on the old test pattern that came on at midnight before we all changed channels to 2 or 10 to watch french soft porn? :bag:

The Behringer version with a B for the test pattern will be along just in time for Christmas.

  13. LMAO,

Not sure if you are aware of it in Switzerland , but the Beverly Hillbillies were canceled, I'm sure they will start running reruns soon :D :D :D There's a new show coming out there this season Green Acres. :bag:

  14. Tell that to those roadies who set up FAKE stacks to look good on stages for major acts.

Why shouldn't equipment look good? You keep it in your house. You display on stage under lights. Hartkes look great under lights(sound is another story IMO).

Yeah, I would think that cab would be great in either my livingroom or stage. I would think the betties would really like that cab.

    Now those Kustom stacks, YUK!

For the record, the Beverly Hillbillies are still on over here. We get Sky TV, a UK package and there's a channel that has classic TV shows.

If it wasn't for Sky we'd have to watch Swiss TV which sucks canal water. I'd rather watch paint dry.

  17. I don't think that cab would keep anyone from getting a gig. It just has a retro-looking grill cloth. A cab is a box and the design is just a little thematic, but is still a box. It ain't no neon pink guitar. Most local country or blues acts really aren't image conscious anyway to the pont where they would make you buy different equipment. The pink guitar hair band guitarists and the country guys really don't need to worry about each other. That ashdown looks cool, and does not appear to be geared towards the people who are adverse to fashion trends and so forth. But ashdown make traditional cabs too, right down to the white piping.

Just messing with you, my wife's family is Swiss, and she's given me all the gory details. Forget cable, she said when they were young and would visit the grandparents, milking the cow was the biggest form of entertainment :D

FYI we get the hillbillies on T V Land cable station.

Imagine the horrified reactions of the townsfolk when the Kustom padded cabinets rolled out decades ago... when Trace dared to be GREEN... and Eden - GOLD GRILLE too ostentatious!!! Children cried, dogs barked, women screamed...
I guess it's OK to be retro, and not much more.
KUDOS to new thinking!!! How about equipment that looks like NOW as opposed to THEN???
HUZZAH ASHDOWN!!! I'll buy this line.
