Hey guys, I need to buy a cheap club setup and I saw the Behringer 3000xt which is rated at 300w at 4ohms. I need a cheap speaker so I was thinking of the Nady PS105 (i think) speaker which can handle 500w and is 8ohms. Is this ok? What problems will I run into in reliability and tone? How about the bass head/ PA speaker combo, is this ok?

thanx for all the help guys :)

It will work fine. You can run 4 ohms or more without problems. Whatever you do, don't run less than 4 ohms. It will draw so much current that the amp will overheat and fry itself. But 8 ohms will be fine.

The amp will not produce 300w with an 8 ohm load attached. It will put out more like 210w. But remember that doubling your watts produces a 3dB increase. So the watt reduction here will not be all that noticable.
