lately i bought an Ibanez-Musican 8-string on Ebay. I haven't received the Instrument yet, but the owner told me that there are no octave-strings on it.
Where can i get them from ? I know that Rotosound once produced an 8-string-set, but it was awefull expensive. Any alternative to Rotosound ?
What strings do i need (lengh, thickness) ? Or can i use the normal e-a-d-g-guitar-strings if they are long enough ?

P.S.: Please excuse my english, i'm writing from Germany and not used interfering these kind of forums.

    hey there

welcome, and don't worry, your english is just fine.

try www.juststrings.com , they should have some strings available for you, and cheap too, from a few different manufacturers. i'm not sure if they ship to germany, but i don't see why they wouldn't.

    good luck.
  3. Ken Smith makes an 8-string set. His strings are some of the most affordable on the market.
  4. D'Addario also makes 8-string sets.
