I also put this out on an older post (well done on the info btw) pertaining to Bart pups. Looking for info on some vintage bart pups - serial # 9W568L & 9W564S ?? Any help/info is appreciated in advance. Thx.R

9W's were a linear multi coil pickup. One coil per string. Pretty interesting design but no longer made. The 5 means they're for 5 string basses. I think the other digits were string spacing codes - 64 or 68mm total spacing, and the L/S were case size codes (long and short).

What did you want to know about them? Have you reached out to Bartolini support?

    Thanks for the info.
I'm considering putting them up for sale and want to get the best / most accurate info I can. I traded an inexpensive bass for them MANY years ago and was told they were unique and valuable. I'm trying to fund a project so these may hit the road. They sound great! Thx again.

They rarely come up for sale. I'm sure some Bart fans would pay a nice price for a set. There's a set on Reverb right now with wider spacing listed for $240. I've seen other sets a little lower than that.

There's 1 and a half 4 string sets in the classifieds now.

Edit: the full set sold. The other is 1 of a mismatched set of bart j pickups
