old bass tune-up like question

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by paniak17, Jul 20, 2005.

  1. my old bass sounds and feels like ****...its a really cheap peavey milestone III from that begginer pack thing. I'm bored and i feel like taking it apart and messing with the electronics. any tips on how to make cool sounds come from this thing by messing with the electronics?
  2. play with the setup first...make it feel right (if that be possible)...most basses can get at least ONE decent sound out of them.

Don't touch the electronics without a plan...do you have a plan?

Agreed. My first bass was a Yamaha. I ended up spending more on upgrades than the bass. But it was worth it because it felt and played good. You can read all about it.

If you cannot get the feel right, there is no point in wasting money on electronics.
