<img src="http://www.talkbass.com/forum/attachment.php?s=&postid=1159246"> Well, I was looking in my pictures folder in my computer & I had an older "Family Portrait" & it's amazing to me how many basses I go thru. Since I took this picture, I've also had/have: Sadowsky Tokyo RB5 Warmoth 70's Red Jazz ESP J-Four (ebayer stiffed me) Warmoth Shoreline Gold Jazz (Sold) Fender American Standard 5 string Jazz (Sold) Warmoth Koa Jazz Bass (Sold, actually traded) Warmoth Gecko in T-Blue (Sold) #1, I guess I like Jazz basses. LOL #2, I have to seriously stop playing this game of bass tag. Every time I say to myself, "No more basses cause you're only gonna sell it & still play your sadowsky's" I see a "great deal" somewhere & I buy it, play it for a rehearsal or 2 & then sell it. We need a bassists anonymous or seomething. I'm hoping I'm set & I will not need to buy any more basses but it's hard especially working @ Sadowsky's & playing just about every single bass that is built. I'll post a new Family portrait in a while.
And I own the one on the upper left!! hey Nino- I've been meaning to tell you. I tried the bass out Sat night in a band I've just hooked up with and really gave it a workout. Man, that thing sounds sooooooooooooo good!!!!! Plays incredibly, too! It is now one of my main basses. And, against your recommendation, I did go ahead and put several coats of urethane on the headstock, over your logo, using spray urethane. Happy to report that it worked like a charm and your name is now immortalized on that bass, as it should be.
Im glad you go through basses like toilet paper!(only thing that came to mind) Im just glad I have my Valenti right next to me. Peace Nick
Oh Yeah...Nick got that sweet looking Valenti, how is she buddy? Rumor has it you're gonna get another bass?!
IMO, It's not worth selling. The bass is very played & I wouldn't get the price I wanted. Also, I'm not selling it.
You lucky [email protected]#$% I would love to have a P/J Valenti, but mine would be in the '51 P bass style. Peace Nick
