I am working on rehab'ing an old Matsumoku Aspen SG Jr. Bass clone and have some questions about the wiring.

I've done a bit of wiring in the past but I've only replaced one pickup with another or one pot for another, so I've always known exactly where to solder what.

This thing I got with the pickups separate and it's got an odd switch:

    photo6-1.

    The front looks like this:

    photo8-1.

and the pots/jack look like this:

    photo7-1.

The pickups are single coil and have 3 wires (red, white, black). The white is a ground for the cover and the others are the hot and ground for the coil. I don't know which is which (I'll assume red is hot, but I guess that'll be trial and error).

My question is how to wire the pickups to the pickup selector.

I'm not sure even where to start. And then how would one test it before putting the whole rig back together?

    Thanks for any help!
