    looking for any info on bass guitar pictured.
    Looking to see if anyone knows brand history
    Looks like a MM old smoothie

    Yup, there is nothing Musicman about that bass.

    Thanks for the Direct reply’s.
    The bass is Not a MM query was if anyone could advise on the brand it is.
    Plays way too good to be a cheap bass.
    And even though It is old build (70s) quality is very very good.

    I would assume that it's a '70s Japanese 'lawsuit' copy of a Music Man. Looks like a twin Jazz pickup, and probably passive (two knobs).
