I came across a very old Dean bass. 81 Model I do believe..#81-00xxxx.

It has the classic dean headstock and has the "star" shape body. Much like the washburn guitars that Pantera's Darrell Abbot uses.

I have not been able to find any info at Dean or elsewhere on the net on these.

It is in decent shape. needs a good cleanup/set-up job.

Any help/info source would be appreciated.

Dean used to be made-in-USA and much more high quality/highend than today.
But I'm not sure if your model is from that era, it should be, though.

There's a link where you can contact Dean Zelinsky (Dean Founder) about pre-85 Dean guitars at the Dean site:

    or email him directly:

    mailto: dean@deanguitars.com
