ok, so i have an old peavey hafstack from the early '80s.
occasionally it overheats, so i want to put in a new speaker and rent a new head for it.

i already know the head i want...a carvin, one of the upper-end models.

    but i want to buy a 15" speaker. psc15e-8
how do i put it in? does anyone know?
or does anyone have any sites i can go to so i can learn how to do it myself?

    thanks much,
  2. Now you've done it.

Stick with a 15" Black Widow. They are the best suited for that cabinet and they are really just a great Peavey speaker. If the cabinet you have has BW's in it, you may just be able to change just the basket. Very Simple - 3 screws and it pulls off the magnet. Put the new basket on and you are golden. If you have the Scheffields, then toss it in the garbage and put a BW into it. Easy plain and simple. And the BW's are not that pricey either!
