Back in the early 80's i had a peavey head, i got it used and I played it for a couple a years, I was lookin at some old gig pics and remembered, hell it sounded good.how can i find out what it was?i got old pics on polaroid board in my photo albums...i'll try to describe it, as crazy as it sounds..4 knobs kinda tight on the left,1 on top of 1,and 1on top of1...6 knobs middle, towards the right,1 on top of the other1 x's3..any help or pics would be cool..is there a site of old peavey heads with pics..etc..
I play through a 1980s era Peavey Mk. VI. I've had it for a couple years and am only starting to figure out how to dial in all the cool tones I like. Nothing super fancy about it either. Has the sliding EQ controls, high and low gain inputs, compression, compound chorus, etc. Got it for a steal too, paid $400 for it and three cabs. Sucker really roars when I want it to.
Hard to say exactly. For reference here's my '73 F800B. Peavey keeps an *excellent* database of owners manuals, maybe worth a look. Here's the link: Peavey Archived Owners Manuals Good luck with your search!
thanks all , still not the one..ill try the page dogbone;,hope they got a pic,,it is very close to the festival series except it had 4 knobs not 6 on the left,,over , under like the volume/overdrive knobs..exact same style..
Hmm, that's a good one. Here's a pic of a Series 400, getting warmer? And I'm not sure what exactly this one is called, but here it is anyway. Maybe you could check out some of these threads, someone there may have the model like the one you're looking for. What are the best amps Peavey ever made? Peavey Amps Club
Fishsticks... Did ya have to pull a permit from your city to be able to own something like that? Ahahahahaha!! That rig is totally eye-catching and 'tasty' as anything I've seen in a while. . . . .
thanks , brothers that peavey standard series is almost exactly it...the only thing is the 6 knob configuration is on the right and the 4 knob set is on the left.the painted silver lines connecting the knobs was solid ,not doubled like the standerd you show..dang dogbone, where did you get all those great peavey amps?im lovin it.....
I own the F8000B in my first post, the rest are just pics I found on the internets! Hopefully if we can identify your old amp you'll be able to search for one similar on ebay or craigslist.
