This was today. My tone was bridge pickup soloed through Sadowsky preamp. The amp was a TC Electronic 112.

Great fat tone. Would love to see how you have the pedal and amp EQ'd.

The amp is totally flat, treble on the preamp is around 8, bass is on 4. The bass is bridge pickup only with the tone turned off.

Sweet, Doc! Tone is perfect for the genre. Thick and rich. Is the Sadowsky a pedal or on board?

The Sadowsky is the pedal version.

Thanks! May have to look into one of those pedals for church (DI to board, in ear monitors, Lakland Skyline 55-60).

Your tone is as sweet as the Reds' win over the Cards today! HA!

May we both make a joyful sound unto the Lord.

I can still twist a few knobs and get that Marcus tone too!:bassist:

This DJ5 and Sadowsky preamp are absolutely perfect for what I like.

Good sound with some soulful playing - I like that the highs still have plenty of depth and richness.

I'm happy that I posted a clip that is much closer to the playing I actually do every Sunday instead of all of those slappity pop clips I have posted. I will say we do not always sound THAT downhome!

Only use rounds on my fretted basses. My fretless basses have flats. I can get plenty deep and dark with rounds.
