Edit: I'm also interested in straight trades or partial trades for bass preamps. Might consider other stuff too.

Due to the weight, I don’t want to ship this. I’m in the Bay Area and can possibly deliver if you’re nice.

I dig this amp, but with the gigs I've been playing lately, I don't know if I need it.

    Thanks.

Cleaned up thread and decided to post this back up for sale/trade. Sorry, but I'm still not interested in shipping.

I've owned, and currently own, many svts. Weight aside, you will not get a better sounding amp. Especially with the graphic eqs of the pto line. For all those at the beginning of their time quest, you can get any sound under the sun. If you can't get the tone you want, you may have the wrong cab or bass.

For now, I’m putting this on hold as I’m traveling and working out a local trade. Feel free to reach out via private message, but this might be spoken for.

    Back soon so I’ll bump.

  7. How much do these weigh? I’ve been contemplating a tube head, especially Ampeg, and have been impressed by the V4-B. Would this do a warm, gritty tone like that head?

I just weighed it by holding it, standing on my digital scale, and then weighing myself without it, and finding the difference. By that method, I got 67.2 lbs. So, maybe assume 70 lbs.

It definitely does a warm and gritty tone. With one of my Audiokinesis Thunderchild cab, it leans more Motown/Stax. With my Hathor cab, it leans more rock with punch in the upper mids. There's plenty of warm low end with whatever you use.
