I've got the SB 14 Sterling by Sterling ( ?) by Musicman, and its a dead on version of the US Sterling at a third of the price. Build quality is rediculous ( in a good way) and the used market has them for well under $500 US. With your currency exchange rate, you'd do well to look at them used.
I'd save my money and get a real music man. I know, not much help.
I've been playing for 45 years and have had '64 fenders new and others along that way. The bass bang for the buck to me is a Carvin. I've owned a BB75 for 15 years and I wouldn't trade it for any Fender out there regardless of vintage.
