For those who have owned or tried out the OLP MM
    5 strings -

I am looking to get one, and am partial to the idea
of a maple board, BUT want a Tony Levin Edition:meh:

I know the electronics are different between the TL
version and the general run 5 string OLPMM, are there
any real differences in quality control (fit and finish, fretwork)

Does it come down to the color and a rosewood board
being most of what the difference amounts to?

Appreciate hearing from those who have actually played both!

I would go for the active electronics, I think they would make a bigger difference in quality of sound. As for quality control on finnish and feel your best bet is to play the exact bass youa re going to buy as the quality can vary greatly on cheaper basses. I think you will be very pleased with one though :)
