    OLP MM2 + Ashton BA150

What do you guys think of this (A$1000)?
Can I do any better for my price range?
Have you owned either of the instruments?

Replies would be appreciated greatly, as the purchase is likely to take place soon!

    Never heard of Ashton.
  3. How long have you been playing for?
I assume you might just be starting off, in which case the OLP and Ashton should be more than sufficient.
My only suggestion is to put the OLP idea aside and look at a similarly priced Yamaha which are almost always good quality instruments compared to the hit and miss OLPs.

Also: Ashton is an Australian company that markets guitars, basses, drums amps etc that are made overseas.

You could maybe get an Ashdown Electric Blue combo for the same price as the Ashton. Everyone here seems to love Ashdown so that would probably be a good way to go.
Also i have an MM2 and i think its a decent bass for the money.
