A quick question for you OLP Stingray owners:

What is the pickup routing like? Another question, because I can't tell from the pictures I've seen. Is it active or passive? But my main reason for asking was to see if it's passive, if there's room to install an active system, and maybe even add a J pickup in the neck position. Because of its price this looks like a good project bass to be used as a backup.

  2. It's passive, but there's always room for active stuff.. jazz pickup is also very possible.. IF you have the tools and knowledge to do it :)
  3. Agreed, it is a passive setup initially, but many people get them and put out a little extra money and chance the pickups to high quality Seymour Duncans. And like AllodoX said, there's always room for active.
